Family & Education recruited 8,000 nurseries and pre-schools to take part in activity to raise awareness of BBC's new pre-school programme 3rd & Bird. Nurseries were sent an innovative 'Bird House' together with educational RSPB activities, finger puppets and a colourful poster.
There was also a DVD with song sheets to allow nurseries to run sing-along 3rd & Bird musicals! Colourful take home postcards were handed to parents, promoting the new website. The activity was also supported with advertising and promotion on iChild.co.uk.
Over 320,000 children and their families participated in this activity. 93% stated that the activity was 'excellent' or 'good'.
